Hypnosis comes up in my daily life, even when I’m not doing a traditional planned treatment.
I was on a flight from Toronto to Kelowna earlier this week.
The woman sitting beside me, confessed that she was an extremely nervous flyer, and having really bad anxiety before takeoff.
I looked at her and I said well I can hypnotize that right out of you, right now if you would like.
Her eyes lit up and she said “really? Yes please”
So I did a quick hypnotic induction on her right there in our seats while they de-iced the plane, it took about seven minutes.
After she said she immediately felt a sense of calm and relaxation she’s never had in an airplane before.
She slept the whole flight.✨

Demystifying Hypnosis

Let’s clear up some of the biggest misconceptions about hypnosis:

I cannot make you do anything you don’t want to do or wouldn’t morally choose to do.

I cannot make you reveal secrets. Your mind protects you at all times.

I do not control you. You stay aware, in charge, and able to speak or stop at any time.

You must be a willing participant. Hypnosis works with you, not on you.

You agree to the process. Your subconscious only accepts suggestions that align with your values and goals.

I am simply a guide. You do the inner work — I help you access the part of your mind that can change.

You don’t have to tell me the problem. Many issues can be resolved without revealing any details.

You cannot get stuck in trance. Hypnosis is a natural, safe state that you can come out of anytime.

I cannot control your mind. Your subconscious remains protective and sovereign.

Hypnosis is safe and wont exacerbate an issue.

Hypnosis is not about losing control — it’s about finally gaining access to the part of your mind that can help you heal, shift, and transform.
