Manitoba’s weather is finally starting to warm up, and while we’re all enjoying the sunshine, it’s also a good reminder to stay heat-aware this season ☀️ 🌡️
Last summer, southern Manitoba experienced record-breaking temperatures, including a 67-year heat record.
As temperatures begin to rise again, knowing the signs of heat-related illness can help keep you and your family safe.
A few simple ways to stay safe this summer:
• Drink water regularly, even before you feel thirsty
• Stay in shaded or air-conditioned spaces during peak heat (11am - 4pm)
• Never leave children or pets in closed vehicles
• Check in on elderly family members and neighbours during hot days.
Stay safe and enjoy the summer. 💙
