⏰ Around 4 months, babies’ circadian rhythms start to mature, which is why we begin shifting from wake windows to clock-based schedules.

Consistent timing helps regulate sleep and build predictable rhythms.

🌷With Passover beginning tonight and Easter weekend coming up, many families are heading into a few days of celebrations, meals, and time with loved ones.

If bedtime ends up a little later than usual, that’s okay! Children thrive on routine, but they also benefit from meaningful family traditions.

A few tips:
• Keep the bedtime routine consistent, even if it starts a little later
• Allow some wind-down time after exciting gatherings
• Return to your regular schedule the following night

Wishing all who celebrate a meaningful and restful holiday weekend! 🩷

✨Healthy sleep doesn’t just happen on its own. It’s built through small, consistent habits.

Some nights may go well, others not, and it can be hard to know why. Simple routines can make a big difference:
• Knowing what to expect at bedtime
• Taking time to wind down, instead of powering through
• Feeling reassured in how parents respond overnight

Over time, these habits help children settle more easily and sleep more soundly.

If your child continues to struggle with falling asleep, waking at night, or early mornings, it could mean they need a bit more structure and support.

The good news is that sleep is a skill, and it can be taught — and we’re here to help!

Happy International Women’s Day 💜

At The Kids’ Sleep Clinic, we’re proud to be a team of women supporting children and families every day. We have the privilege of working with incredible parents who show up for their kids with patience, love, and a lot of resilience (even on the most sleep-deprived days 🥲).

Today we’re celebrating the women on our team and the many mothers and caregivers in our community. Parenting isn’t always easy, and we’re grateful to walk alongside families as they navigate it.

Why is sleep so important?

Because it affects more than we think.

When a child is overtired, it doesn’t just show up as yawning. It shows up in their emotions, flexibility, frustration tolerance, focus… and more!

And it affects us as parents as well.

Sleep is foundational. When it’s consistent, everyone has more capacity. When it’s inconsistent, even small stressors can feel bigger than they are.

Improving sleep doesn’t make challenges disappear. But it often changes how the whole family experiences them. Children regulate more easily. Parents respond more calmly. Sometimes what feels like a behaviour problem is really just a tired nervous system. And sleep helps strengthen it.

💬 Have you noticed how overtired days show up in your child… or in you? Share your experience in the comments.
