Je m'appelle Sandrine. En juillet 2024, j'ai lancé mon service de kinésiologie à domicile, avec un objectif simple :

Aider les femmes d'Ăąge moyen Ă  aimer le mouvement et ralentir le vieillissement, mĂȘme si elles ont peur de se lancer seules.

Vous trouverez ci-dessous 5 valeurs auxquelles je crois. Si vous les partagez, je pense que nous nous entendrons bien.

Look at a pond - stagnant water - creates moss, moisture, unfiltered debris - fog, the water becomes unclear

Same thing happens to your BODY and MIND when you stay still

YOU ARE YOUR OWN ECOSYSTEM!

YOU were made to move - think - process - adapt - evolve

Andréanne started running again after just 4 months!
She didn’t take meds — she got her body moving correctly.

When she joined Vital Kin, she had stopped running because her osteoarthritis became unbearable.
She felt lost - trying to get back to running because it kept her mentally happy, but nothing worked and the foot pain always came back.

We mapped out a plan to build strength without increasing inflammation:

→ Understood and tested her biomechanics
→ Set up a personalized training program focused on her weaknesses
→ Helped her understand her inflammation - how to control it correctly

Now?

✅ She’s running small distances up to 3x a week
✅ Knows how to sustainably keep progressing her runs
✅ Understands how important listening to her body is

When it comes to increasing distance in running, occasional runners who are running up to 2x per week 2-5km per session, make these mistakes

- Start running more (3-4x/week)
- Run faster - (shaving minutes off your 2-5km)
- Run some more (hills, sprints, intervalles
)

It becomes a problem because when working to increase📈 your DISTANCE in running with only just running more, you create greater stress on your body, especially your muscles.

More running đŸƒđŸœactually means 📉less adaptation and recovery 🔋from the muscles.

Therefore it might actually take you more time to get to the distances you want to do.

You might even end up feeling POWERLESS that your muscles can’t follow you anymore.

The consequence might end up being:

- You stop running - COMPLETELY!... because it hurts too much
- You’re scared to get back out there
 and avoid any thought about it
- Joy fades, you lose hope and start building up anger because running kept you sane.

Instead, go back to “LESS is more”

Yes running is important in running duh
But muscle strength even more!

The results will be immediate because you’ll be able to get back to running in just a couple weeks!

And worth-while because your muscles will adapt and be ready for progressions!

You’ll then see your full potential! Might even end up thinking you could complete a marathon - who knows đŸ€©

So next time you find yourself about to go run while trying to increase your distance, instead look up some running strength exercises.

and REMEMBER - LESS IS MORE.
