Last week, the Wetaskiwin Spray Park committee accepted its second largest donation to the project when Spring Dental made a $60,000 donation toward the construction of the new Wetaskiwin spray park by sponsoring the park’s water tower feature.
As a locally owned dental clinic committed to giving back, Spring Dental believes in investing in spaces that bring families together and promote health, joy, and connection.
This donation is second in size to Manluk Industries donation to secure the naming rights for the spray park
“We’re thrilled to be part of a project that will serve children and families for years to come,” said Dr. Rahim Ali, owner of Spring Dental. “Community is at the heart of everything we do, and we’re excited to help create a fun, safe place for families to enjoy the outdoors.”
The new spray park will be a vibrant addition to the city, offering a free and accessible recreational space for residents and visitors alike. Spring Dental’s generous contribution will play a key role in bringing this vision to life, specifically by sponsoring the water tower feature in the design.
Ali and the team at Spring Dental extend heartfelt thanks to all community members, city planners, and fellow supporters who are working together to make the Wetaskiwin spray park a reality.
The Spray Park Committee also expressed its deep gratitude to Spring Dental for their extraordinary support. Large donations like this are essential in helping them achieve the full scope of this project. This kind of investment not only accelerates the timeline but also inspires others to get involved, they said.
“Giving back to the community you live in— whether through volunteering, donating, or supporting local initiatives—is how we make Wetaskiwin a better place for our children,” said Katrina Wold, co-chair of the Spray Park Committee. “Generous contributions from businesses like Spring Dental are an important reminder of what’s possible when we come together for a shared purpose.”
“Together — with the support of businesses, families, and individual donors — we are creating a space that will serve Wetaskiwin for generations to come,” added Wold.
Construction on the spray park and adjoining accessible playground are slated to begin this summer.
