I am doing a FUNDRAISER…

Half the proceeds will go towards our service dog training fund for Hazel and the other half will be going to Alberta Animal Rescue Crew Society - AARCS.

Hazel has an assessment THIS WEEK, to see if she is a good candidate to be Lindon’s service dog.

“Tickets” are $10 and I’m doing 50 spots. E-transfer can be sent to jesslbristol@gmail.com with the password “raffle”

Once I receive your money your name will fill the spot. I will do a live draw for one of my favourite bonsai trees I made, once all 50 spots are filled.

I will also deliver the tree to anyone between Wetaskiwin and Edmonton. Shipping will be required if you are farther and can’t meet.

This! 150 bazillion percent!!!

If someone has reached out to you because they are struggling, please take the time to listen and hold space! (Within your personal boundaries)

Unless they ask, they aren’t looking for advice, solutions, or even your pity. They are looking for someone to acknowledge and validate how they are feeling and to feel some sort of feeling other than despair and hopelessness.
Saying, “I have no words to offer you, but please tell me about what you are going through, I can listen and hold space for you” can validate how someone is feeling more than you may ever understand.

If someone tells you they are suicidal, please do not brush them off. Please do not let them be alone (whether it’s just being on the other end of the phone or there in person). Please acknowledge their deep dark mindset, but also let them know you love/care for them.

If they are suicidal and you can not support them in the way they need, please call for emergency help.

Mental illness is no joke, and people are soooo good at hiding how they are really feeling. Just because they smile and laugh on the outside, or are social, DOES NOT mean they are ok on the inside!!

Understand the signs of depression, and check in on those you love if you suspect something to be off. Even just a “I’m thinking about you” or “hey, just doing a mental health check on the people I love, because I have the capacity to hold space for them right now” can go a really long way!

As we go in to these colder darker winter months, be extra aware of how your friends who have struggled through the warmer brighter summer months are doing. They are probably less ok than they were then.

It’s been a hot minute since I’ve posted on here, and it’s going to be a little while longer before I’m back at it.

I have been diving deep into the shadows and darkness within myself to allow for the light to shine through. Sitting with what my body has been asking of me and listening to her whispers (and sometimes screams).

And giving myself the greatest gift… allowance. Allowing myself to feel all that I need to feel, even the things that don’t feel so great. There have been days where all I’ve wanted to do is sleep because being awake has been too hard and exhausting, and there’s been days when I have had so much energy I decide to take on projects at 10pm because I’m not tired.

But above all else, allowing myself to be where I’m at without judgement and just taking a step back to observe the feelings and where I’m at.

I am on the upswing and these sunny days full of vitamin D have been so great for my mental health. So while I’m still here in the background, I’m just doing me until my body and soul tell me it’s time to get back to business.

So blessed to live within a few hours of these majestic mountains!

When we left home it was complete over cast with a thick blanket of clouds. During the drive I would close my eyes (I wasn’t driving haha) and imagine the clouds opening up and the sun shining through. I would also swirl the energy of of the clouds in my mind so they would break apart. When we passed Nordegg it was still really cloudy but the more west we drove, the more the clouds were breaking and sun was shining. The high was supposed to be +6 and it ended up +11.

Believe in the magic you hold within yourself!

This is not the first time I have used energy to clear the skies so the sun would shine when it was “supposed to be” cloudy… and it definitely won’t be the last!

What a great reason to have a SALE!!

Hazel came into our lives a little over a week ago and she is such a sweet girl, so I decided why not help out the rescue even more by having a sale and donating 25% of the proceeds to AARCS.

All distance and in person healing sessions (including distance reiki with a written reading and access bars sessions AND animal reiki sessions) are now 25% off until March 31st.

This also includes any gift certificates purchased and pay now book later. (Cause who does love a deal and helping animals?)

AARCS doesn’t only help dogs, they have lots of cats looking for furever homes as well as small critters like Rabbits and Guinea pigs.
