provides industrial safety leadership training for organizations who understand that front line leadership is esstential for production, safety and quality. Don Beahm holds the CRSP (Canadian Registered Safety Professional) and CHSC (Certified Health and Safety Consultant) designations in Canada and as well as a CSO (Construction Safety Officer) through the Saskatchewan Construction Safety Association. During his 38 years of industry background, Don spent 21 years as a journeyman power lineman, an occupation that exposes workers to high risk hazards and inclement weather conditions. Don held leadership and management roles for thirteen years that included the development of maintenance systems to monitor and direct spending on multimillion dollar assets as well as holding positions in Operations Management andthe General Manager of Business and Industry position at a safety training institute. He participated in the implementation of the OHSAS 18001 safety management system for a major utility in Saskatchewan that included auditing of the system. During those years, he studied to obtain his safety designations and supported those titles with the following education:
- Masters Certificate in Project Management (University of Saskatchewan)
- Certificate in Health, Safety, and Environment (University of New Brunswick)
- Certificate in Adult Education (St. Francis Xavier University)
- Certificate in Business Administration (University of Regina)
Don was a member of his occupational health and safety committee both as a union representative and as the management co-chair for several years. Don’s background and passion for a safe and healthy workplace was the driving force to develop The Industrial Supervisor courses. These courses are designed for industry supervisors, to help them understand their roles and responsibilities and to provide them the tools they need to be successful.
