Mountain bike season is right around the corner – are you ready?
If you were hesitant to answer, here are a few things that can help your body prepare ⬇
▪️BUILD STRENGTH▪️
Target the the muscles you rely on most to power your peddling motion: that’s your glutes, quads, hamstrings, calf complex and core. Utilize high load strength training in combination with body weight exercises.
▪️INCREASE YOUR ENDURANCE▪️
Avoid fading too early and or not enjoying your outdoor adventure due to your lack of endurance. Regular focus on strength training, aerobic exercise and some HIIT is a good start but consistency is the key.
▪️IMPROVE YOUR BIKING SKILLS▪️
Improving your technical and tactical bike skills will only lead to increased movement efficiency and economy… so you’ll only ride longer, farther, harder and faster!
