Wednesday 21 June is International Day of Yoga and as part of our celebrations for the day we're inviting you to share your pictures of Ardha Chandrasana (half moon pose). Join in by sharing yours using - with or without props!
Benefits of this pose:
⭐️ Rotates and flexes the vertebral joints, keeping the spinal muscles supple
⭐️ Tones the lumbar and sacral spine, relieving backache
⭐️ Corrects misalignment of the shoulders
⭐️ Helps relieve sciatica
⭐️ Improves circulation in the feet
⭐️ Relieves gastritis and acidity
⭐️ Corrects a pr*****ed uterus
Cautions:
Do not practise this asana if you have stress-related headaches, migraine, eye strain, varicose veins, diarrhoea, insomnia, or chronic fatigue syndrome. Avoid this pose if you are tired. If you have hypertension, do not look up at your raised arm. Look straight ahead.
