Hey I'm Dr. Landon McLean⁠

I'm a Whistler local who shares many of the same desires that we all do for good food and the outdoors! I get it when it comes to finding the balance between work, an epic bike day, and chocolate chip cookies.
My passion is in preventative health and nutrition with a focus in digestive health, injury recovery, IVS and peptides. Through my experience, I have seen a large correlation between MOOD, FOOD and EXERCISE.
My thoughts are "When we eat well, we feel well. When we eat like crap, we feel like crap." Similar to when physical exercise is lacking in our day, whether this is due to an injury or another condition. Getting you moving and active can be one of the best ways to move the needle with your mood and motivation.

Mushroom Soup:
Ingredients:
- 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
- ½ cup onion (diced small)
- 2 cloves garlic (diced small)
- 8 oz sliced brown mushrooms
- 1.5 cups mushroom stock
- ¼ teaspoon thyme
- ¼ teaspoon rosemary
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 Salt to taste
- 1 cup light sour cream
- 2 tablespoon all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon - garnish – freshly chopped parsley
Instructions:
- In small dish, mix light sour cream and flour. Set aside.
- In soup pan, add extra virgin olive oil and onions. Sauté on medium/high heat until edges start to turn golden brown (about 2-3 minutes).
- Add garlic and sauté for about 10-20 seconds (be careful not the burn the garlic as the pan will be hot when you add).
- Add stock and mushrooms to pot.
- Sprinkle spices on top and stir to mix.
- Bring mixture to a boil and cook until mushrooms are soft (about 3-4 minutes).
- Transfer mixture to a heat safe bowl.
- Allow to cool slightly,about 2-3 minutes. Add sour cream/flour mixture.
Mix thoroughly and enjoy!

Corn & Grilled Zucchini Salad:
7 ingredients/Vegetarian/ Gluten-free
2 cups arugula or rocket
2 cups Corn
1/2 lemon, juice of
2 zucchinis
1 salt and pepper
2 tbsp olive oil
1 cup feta cheese
Mix it all together.
