🎉 Welcome to the Team! 🎉
We’re thrilled to officially welcome Chinenye to Rx Physio Health! 🙌
Chinenye is a Registered Physiotherapist with over 12 years of experience and a Master’s degree in Sports & Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy. Her journey into the profession began as captain of her high school football team, where her own encounters with physiotherapy sparked a passion to help others recover, move, and perform at their best.
She provides comprehensive care across many areas of physiotherapy, with a special focus on pelvic floor physiotherapy — supporting patients with recovery, strength, and confidence through all stages of life. Whether it’s performance rehab, pain management, or pelvic health, Chinenye combines evidence-based practices with genuine empathy and a personalized approach. 💪
Outside the clinic, she enjoys traveling with her family and exploring new cuisines.
We’re so excited to have her expertise and energy as part of our growing team at Rx Physio Health. Please join us in giving her a warm welcome! 💙

Ryan – Registered Kinesiologist, OTA/PTA, FST Practitioner

Ryan is a Registered Kinesiologist and dual-trained Occupational Therapist Assistant/Physiotherapist Assistant (OTA/PTA), who brings nearly a decade of diverse clinical experience to the team. He graduated with honours from the OTA/PTA program at Anderson College in 2015 and has since worked in a variety of clinical environments, including orthopedic rehabilitation, stroke and acquired brain injury rehab, and medical rehabilitation.

Driven by a passion for lifelong learning, Ryan went on to complete his Bachelor of Health Sciences with a specialization in Kinesiology at the University of Ontario Institute of Technology (UOIT) in 2020. His approach emphasizes empowering individuals to reach their goals, improve functional independence, and build lasting self-confidence.

Ryan finds great fulfillment in guiding patients along their rehabilitation journey and witnessing the transformative progress they make—both physically and mentally—through consistent, compassionate care.

WELLNESS WEDNESDAY

30 second Morning Routine

Before reaching for your phone in the morning, take 30 seconds for you. A simple full-body stretch in bed can boost circulation, improve mobility, and help you start the day grounded—not reactive. 🧘‍♀️✨

In this post, we demo:

✅ Hip Flexor Stretch
✅ Hamstring Stretch (proximal to distal)
✅ Thread the Needle with Thoracic Rotation
✅ Pec Opener

Move with intention. Heal with purpose. 💪

WELLNESS WEDNESDAY
Lower Body - Strength: Beginner Series

This week’s tip: Include resistance training 2–4x/week – and when it comes to lower body strength, compound movements are king 👑

Why compound movements?

✅ They work multiple muscle groups at once (glutes, quads, hamstrings, calves, core!)
✅ They help improve mobility, stability, and functional strength
✅ Burn more calories, improve joint health, and enhance athletic performance
✅ And you don’t need a gym — bodyweight, bands, dumbbells or kettlebells work great!

💥 Here’s a 15-minute Lower Body Routine (No machines. Just movement.)

🔁 Do 3 rounds – 30-60 sec rest between rounds

1️⃣Lateral Band Walks
Form tip: Activate core and keep the feet neutral as you side step to fire those glutes
2️⃣Glute Bridges (add band for resistance)
Progression: Single-leg glute bridges
3️⃣Reverse Lunges (Bodyweight or DB/KB)
Alt legs each rep – focus on control
4️⃣Bodyweight Squats / Goblet Squats (KB/DB)
Form tip: Keep chest up, knees tracking over toes (don't let them collapse inward)
5️⃣KB/DB RDLs
Form tip: make sure to hinge and not “squat your deadlift”

⚡️Don’t forget to warm up for 3–5 min with some light cardio or mobility drills first! - check out some of Danae’s videos for some ideas 😉

🎯 Next week: Upper Body Compound Movement Routine - Beginner Series
