Trey Yesavage winds up and strike out 5 consecutive batter. Elite performance starts with vision; how the brain processes speed, depth, and precision in milliseconds.

If you’re an athlete, have your vision assessed; optimize your performance and protect your brain.

Elite hitters don’t just react; they anticipate.
Depth perception, visual tracking, and accuracy all working in milliseconds.
That’s what separates good hitters from great ones. Congratulations for the win last night!

Brain fog weeks after your concussion? Today I talk about how concussions can significantly impact vision and cognitive function, explaining that brain fog and processing difficulties might be directly related to disrupted brain-vision connections.

If this feels like you, find a neuro optometrist for a concussion binocular vision assessment!

Ever wonder why your vision changes after a concussion but the prescription didn’t really change? It is because the injury caused your brain to change the way it processes visual information. Hence blurry vision and difficulty with reading a very common invisible symptom that happens after a brain injury and concussion.

Comment “Blur” and I can answer your questions about this topic.

Struggling with light sensitivity after a car accident? You’re not alone.

During your neuro-visual or binocular vision assessment, make sure to mention it to your optometrist. There are specialized tinted lenses that can filter out the harsh light wavelengths and help your brain process visual images more comfortably.

Small adjustments can make a big difference in your recovery. Don’t push through the discomfort, get the right tint, and start seeing comfortably again.

After a car accident, it’s not just your body that takes a hit; your vision can too. Blurry vision, light sensitivity, dizziness, or trouble focusing are common signs your visual system was impacted. Don’t ignore these symptoms; your eyes and brain work together, and both need to heal.

If you’ve been in a car accident and your vision hasn’t felt “right” since, it’s time to get checked by a neuro-optometrist who understands post-trauma vision changes.

At the Future Canada Tech Conference learning about the latest innovations of AI, and XR.

What is XR (Extended Reality)?

XR is an umbrella term for AR (Augmented reality), VR (virtual reality) and MR (mixed reality).

My interest lies in how AI and XR can bridge healthcare and technology to prevent injuries from happening in the first place when it comes to concussion and brain injuries and opportunities to improve functional vision.

At this conference I had a chance to meet innovators who have already created technologies in healthcare. A special mention to as they have already created a technology to replace ocular patching for amblyopia and improve binocular vision and function. More to come on this!

I also had a chance to provide my insights on concussion and brain injury to regarding the longterm impact on health and economy when it comes to injuries from motor vehicle accidents.

How can we bridge healthcare and technology specifically AI, XR (extended reality) and MR (mixed reality) to prevent injuries before they happen?

Today I attended this tech conference called Future Canada. I am very interested in learning how we can bridge healthcare and technology to prevent and treat vision-related issues, particularly for concussion patients.

Stay tuned for photos of today’s event! Share your ideas on how we can integrate these concepts.
