Here I am back at Princess Margaret Hospital for another blood transfusion. Behind the mask I am all smiles today as so many of my friends donated blood this week. Love you all so very very much. 65 people registered so far! I will make it to 100 with your support. As I watch my transfusion going into my body I have this sudden urge to go figure skating. Must be Maureen Patterson or Sara Elizabeth blood I am receiving today.

I am thrilled to announce that I am halfway to my goal! 50 people have already signed up to donate blood. And my donation to Princess Margaret has been matched several times. $25 per unit of blood will be donated to Princess Margaret Gynaecology / Oncology department. Thank you for your generous support! My blood recipient story: Over the past year I have been receiving treatment for ovarian cancer. I have had two surgeries as well as an aggressive chemotherapy regime. Over the past year I have received 16 units of blood. Each transfusion saved my life! To give back I have challenged myself to get 100 people to donate blood. To donate download the Canadian Blood Services app or go to the website www.blood.ca. It’s easy to register and the actual donation time only takes an hour. Consider donating blood. It WILL save lives. It saved mine!
