Reconnect Youth Services at Alex House 1-1 workers, support, outreach, resources & programs for youth and families, primarily in the South Surrey/White Rock area.

Free, voluntary & confidential services. Our Youth and Family Workers provide a variety of supports including looking for housing, mental health and wellness, school and education, substance use and harm reduction, employment and volunteer opportunities, budgeting and financial resources, community connections, and so much more. If you are looking for someone to talk to, want to find out how to ge

t support, or aren't sure where to start, Youth Workers are available. Families and caregivers looking for support and resources can also contact us. This Sunday April 13th, a whole day of sustainability events are happening at Camp Alex in Crescent Beach! Yard Sale and Clothing Exchange from 10-3, and Repair Cafe from 1-4pm.

Y-Mind for youth ages 13-18 starts in May! This group helps youth learn to cope with stress and worries.

This FREE group will be facilitated by Alex House Youth Workers and will be held Tuesdays May 6 to June 24 at the Youth Space from 6:00-7:30pm.

Y-Mind is for youth ages 13 to 18 experiencing mild-to-moderate anxiety or stress. Learn proven coping skills and meet peers who are experiencing similar thoughts and feelings.

You’re invited to the Youth Unfiltered Dialogue, an in-person event designed by youth, for youth to talk about what matters most to you: mental wellness, relationships, boundaries, self-care, substances, identity, social media, and more!
 
📅 Date: April 15th (Tuesday)

📍 Location: White Rock Community Centre

🍕 Food: FREE pizza & drinks @ 4:00 PM

🎤 Speakers & small-group conversations: 4:30–6:30 PM
 
You’ll get to connect with other youth (ages 13-19), share your thoughts, and see your ideas captured LIVE in a graphic art piece.  🎨

NEW event for Youth!! Youth Gathering for Change is a free, one day event for IBPOC, 2SLGBTQIA+, low-income, and newcomer youth ages 14-18 to have a chance to learn more about how colonialism and discrimination in history and presently shapes our cultural and self-identities. Using hands-on activities, we will also discuss strategies for bridging gaps in understanding and tools for fostering resilience and empowerment.  

There will be food, an activity by the beach, and participants will all receive a gift for their participation.  This event takes place Wednesday March 19th in Crescent Beach, South Surrey.

Do you have any new, unopened toiletries to donate? Our resource cupboard needs re-stocking, and we are looking for donations of things like toothbrushes, toothpaste, shampoo, conditioner, deodorant, face wash, soap, body wash, and more.
Any size, from travel size to full size containers is appreciated! This helps us support youth, young adults and families to access these items. Thank you!
