👋Please Welcome, our student massage therapist👋
📣We are SO EXCITED to introduce the newest face here at Meraki Healing, Taylor!
So, Please join us in welcoming him by dropping a “hello” in the comment section!
A little about Taylor;
“ My name is Taylor Rice. I live in Whitecourt and I graduated Hilltop High School in 2022. I've mainly done oilfield adjacent jobs right out of high school; manual labor, pipefitter assistant, X-ray tech assistant, and sandblasting.
Outside of work I'm passionate about martial arts and anything martial arts related, and I have been for as long as I can remember(started at the age of 5). I'm currently an assistant instructor for the Whitecourt Muay Thai Club and have held this position for the last four years, which has given me the opportunity to travel to Thailand to do three months of Muay Thai training with a legend of the sport; P.K. Saenchai.
I'm a good listener and I'm able to empathize with most people easily, however sometimes I'm not the best conversationalist with people I've only just met. I've been described as "passionate", "goofy", and "caring" by my family and friends, as well as "a big teddy bear" by my girlfriend. “
When we asked Taylor why he chose massage therapy, Here’s what he had to say:
“ As for why I decided to pursue Massage Therapy as career; since I'm passionate about martial arts and self-defense, I wanted to learn more about how the body works/moves so I can use that knowledge to improve how I train and therefore improve my skills. Now that I know more Massage as a practice, I see it as the perfect complimentary career for my passion; as my dad has put it, "since you know how to hurt the human body, might as well learn how to put it back together and maintain it".”
WELCOME TO THE TEAM, Taylor!
