😎Think sunglasses are just a summer thing? Think again! While cheering on the many outdoor sports events happening around Whitehorse, remember to keep your eyes protected.

🌞UV rays are just as strong in the winter as they are in the summer. In fact, UV exposure can be even more intense when reflecting off the snow. Overexposure to UV rays increases your risk of developing many ocular conditions including, cataracts, corneal sunburns, eyelid cancer, Age-Related Macular Degeneration (AMD) and a build up of scar tissue on the ocular surface, to name a few. Ensure you wear good quality sunglasses that cover 100% of UVA/UVB rays to help minimize the risks of UV exposure.
