We’re opening the doors for a special public open house at Whitehorse General Hospital!

𝗝𝗼𝗶𝗻 𝘂𝘀 𝗼𝗻 𝗝𝘂𝗻𝗲 𝟮 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝟭𝟭:𝟬𝟬 𝗮.𝗺. 𝘁𝗼 𝟰:𝟬𝟬 𝗽.𝗺. to tour the new inpatient mental wellness unit. This is your chance to explore the space and learn more about the care it will provide.

Enter through the hospital’s main entrance and follow posted signs to the elevator or stairwell near the outpatient lab and surgical waiting areas.

For anyone that cannot attend, we will have a virtual tour available on our website in July.

We’re excited to begin on-site training and orientation for our teams in this new space. We look forward to welcoming patients once the unit is fully operational in the coming weeks.

Spring Online 50/50 Raffle Winner Announced!

The Yukon Hospital Foundation’s Spring Online 50/50 Raffle has officially wrapped up — and what an incredible finish! The jackpot reached a record-breaking $231,370, with one lucky winner taking home over $115,000.

On Tuesday, May 27, our Foundation Board Chair, Tammy April, had the honour of drawing the winning ticket live at Whitehorse General Hospital. The lucky ticket? D-14622, belonging to Margi P.

We had the absolute pleasure of calling Margi to share the life-changing news — and we can’t wait to present her with the cheque!

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who purchased tickets and supported this raffle. Proceeds from the draw support the new Mental Wellness Unit at Whitehorse General Hospital, helping us build better care, close to home.

We are drawing the BIG winner of our Spring 50/50 Raffle this afternoon at 2:30 PM in the cafeteria at Whitehorse General Hospital! One lucky winner will take home over $115,000!! 💸💸💸

After the drawing, the winning ticket number will be posted on our Facebook, Instagram, and the Yukon Hospital Foundation website.

✅ The winner’s name and phone number are printed on the ticket we draw, and we’ll call them right away!
📬 Physical tickets (a single sheet with your ticket numbers at the bottom) were mailed by Canada Post and confirmed delivered.

🌸 Thank you for making our Mother’s Day Brunch so special! 🌸

Over 300 people joined us last Sunday to celebrate the incredible mothers in our lives and support the Yukoners Cancer Care Fund 💜

A heartfelt thank you to all the wonderful volunteers who helped make the event a success — especially Michelle, whose creativity brought so much beauty to the day. Michelle handcrafted the gorgeous lanterns for each table and many of the paper flowers that added a heartfelt touch to the décor 💐

Big thanks as well to the amazing team at Tony’s Pasta and Seafood for the delicious food and outstanding service, and to the Sternwheeler Hotel for hosting us so warmly!
