There are many ways to use flax, and we love adding it to many different dishes. This one is our easy, make ahead, go-to breakfast —> overnight oats!

There are lots of ways to mix ingredients to get different flavours, but always with the same base:

- mix 1:2 parts oats to milk of choice
- for every ½ cup of liquid, add a tablespoon of ground flax (it has to be ground!)
- add toppings like fruits, nuts, maple syrup, peanut butter… the possibilities are endless!
- refrigerate overnight, and they will be ready for breakfast.

Don’t have flax? Check out our 750gr bags of brown whole seed flax!

🚨🚨 New Product Alert!! 🚨🚨

It is with great excitement that we have been prepping our flax to get to you and now we can officially say that our whole seed brown flax is available for purchase!

Flax is super versatile and can be added into many recipes to increase nutritional value. It can also be used for substitution for vegan recipes such as using them in lieu of eggs.

Our whole seed flax doesn’t have to be refrigerated and can be ground as needed to prevent the flax from going rancid.

Flax is available in 750gr resealable bags at $8 each. If you would like to order flax, dm us and we will get it to you!

Dry vs. Canned.

So often we purchase things that are convenient for us to consume. Canned may be readily available to consume, but is it worth the extra preservatives and sodium they contain?
While dry bulk may require a little extra planing, when it comes to lentils, there is no need for soaking, making them the perfect pulse to have at hand. AND they store for a very long time in your pantry! Convenient and healthy.

We won’t say it’s the perfect food to always have at hand, but we also won’t say otherwise!

What’s in the bowl? Roasted lentils. Yes. Roasted lentils.

This simple and easy recipe is great for both sweet and savoury roasted lentils. You can put them on yogurt, oatmeal and fruit, or on salads, soups and seed & nut mixes. You can also eat them on their own. However you like them, they’re a versatile way of keeping lentils at hand and adding extra flavour and nutrition to any dish!

Ingredients:
- 2 cups cooked lentils
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp of preferred seasoning (garlic&salt, brown sugar, seasoning salt, cinnamon sugar…)

Mix the lentils, olive oil and seasoning in a bowl then place on a lined baking sheet, making sure they’re spread out in a thin layer. Bake at 325C in 10 min intervals. Every 10 minutes, pull them out, mix and flatten again to ensure even roasting and no burning! Bake for a total of 30-40 minutes depending on oven. Once done, let cool completely and enjoy!

These will store in an airtight container or in a ziploc bag.
