My specialty is long massages for women from 1.5 hours up to 3 hours in length. I take a holistic approach and often suggest yoga postures / exercises, +/or breath techniques to complement your bodywork session as well as looking at how posture & alignment can play a part in feeling well. I started practicing yoga 30 years ago and fell in love with it because it helped me feel better physically, emotionally, and mentally. I am certified as an Advanced Teacher of Yoga Specializing in Therapeutic Yoga (500 hrs) through Ajna Yoga in Victoria. Some of my courses included: Therapeutic Yoga for Back care, Shoulders, Wrists, Hips, Knees, Chronic/Persistent Pain, Pelvic Health, Bone Health, as well as Yoga for Arthritis, Chair yoga, Yin & Restorative yoga. Therapeutic yoga is generally a slower, low impact approach to yoga utilizing props to make it accessible to all bodies and abilities. In classes & private sessions I use poses/exercises to build mobility, flexibility, balance and strength, utilize ball rolling for fascia, resistance bands, make use of other movement disciplines and functional movement skills like range of motion to help reduce joint stiffness, employ breathing practices to help manage stress and pain, & mindfulness practices to build resilience and peace of mind. I offer Private Personalized Yoga Sessions, & Small Group Yoga Classes especially for 40 yrs +. Extended medical coverage/ insurance is not available.
