🥎 WDMH Hits the Field! 🥎

It was a nail-biter of a tournament at the 3rd Annual Regional Hospital Softball Tournament this past weekend…
NOT! 😄

While we may not have brought home the trophy, our WDMH teams brought the spirit, the laughs, and some questionable sliding techniques... 💪⚾

Thanks to everyone who played, cheered, and kept the dugout fun. And special thank you to Cornwall Community Hospital for hosting the WDMH and the Brockville General Hospital teams. It was a fun day!

After the hospital reconfiguration in January, the Family Birthing team missed the colourful entrance of their previous space—until RN Robyn Higgins stepped in with her creativity! Robyn, known for her artistic flair, painted a beautiful mural that now welcomes everyone to the unit. Thank you, Robyn, for bringing warmth and colour to our new home! 💐🎨

Thanks to the generosity of our fabulous volunteers, we now have a new and improved vending machine for the ER waiting room area. 💙 This upgrade will make a big difference for patients and staff attending the hospital after hours. Thank you for always going above and beyond to support our community!

In addition to the vending machine, the area is also now equipped with a new hot beverage machine. If you find yourself in the ER ...and we really hope you don't... please check it out - they're both located in the room between the ER waiting area and the main entrance.

In the month of June, we celebrated Pride month at the hospital by decorating our departments and office doors. And the Family Birthing Unit won for best entry hands down....or shall we say hands full?!?!

Sheila Begin, Jennifer Merkley, Stacey DeJong, Abby Comtois and Dana Sudds accepted a basket of treats on behalf of their wonderful team.

Special shout out to Cindy Drouin since she did a lot of the decorating.

On June 19th we made it official!

Dale and Lois Keyes came to cut the ribbon on our new CT Scanner. Their generosity has helped purchase this state-of-the-art equipment which will impact our community for years to come.

We are thrilled that we are now able to provide high quality images using a lower dose of radiation. Thank you Dale & Lois!

We have the best volunteers.... and yesterday we were able to recognize some of them for their years of service with us! Thanks to those who were able to break away from the heat and join us for our annual Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon.

We value and celebrate ALL our volunteers for their continued dedication but recognize the following individuals for their service achievements this year.
