Please be aware that updates to our clinic rooms within the Emergency Department are now complete. Flooring replacement in the bays, hallways and waiting area are next.

During this time, you may notice some noise, contractor traffic, and possible delays.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as we complete these improvements to our space.

💙 More care. More places.
We're proud to partner with CHEO to bring pediatric surgical care more places. Through this regional program, some children can now have day surgery right here at WDMH, helping reduce regional wait times.

More CHEO care. More places.

We’re excited to share that kids in our region will now have faster access to surgical care.

Wi******er District Memorial Hospital is now a partner in our regional surgery program, which helps children across the region get surgery sooner. The program allows CHEO specialists to perform some pediatric day surgeries at partner hospitals, including Wi******er. This is creating more space and flexibility to care for kids and tackle longstanding waitlists.

To-date, the regional surgery program has seen approximately 800 surgeries completed by CHEO surgeons, and continued expansion of the program could increase the number of surgeries by another 1,000, further reducing wait times for the region’s children and youth.

Nous nous réjouissons de vous annoncer que les enfants de notre région bénéficieront maintenant d’un accès plus rapide aux soins chirurgicaux.

L’Hôpital Memorial du district de Wi******er fait maintenant partie de notre programme régional de chirurgie, qui permet aux enfants de toute la région de subir plus rapidement une intervention chirurgicale. Ce programme permet aux spécialistes du CHEO de pratiquer certaines chirurgies pédiatriques de jour dans des hôpitaux partenaires, dont celui de Wi******er. Il offre ainsi davantage de capacité d’accueil et de souplesse pour prodiguer des soins aux enfants et réduire les longues listes
d’attente.

À ce jour, le programme de chirurgie régional a permis aux chirurgiennes et chirurgiens du CHEO de réaliser environ 800 interventions chirurgicales, et l’élargissement constant de la portée de ses soins pourrait permettre d’augmenter ce nombre de 1 000 interventions chirurgicales supplémentaires, réduisant ainsi davantage les délais d’attente pour les enfants et les jeunes de la région.
