A great way to honour a great man. Thank you for all you have done for WDMH!

The Township of North Dundas is proud to recognize Wayne Burns for his unwavering dedication, generosity, and support of our community. As the founder of Seaway Valley Pharmacies, Wayne has supported the health of many residents, improved local programs, supported minor sports and the arts, uplifted families, and inspired future generations. He has also been a major supporter of community fundraising initiatives.

In honour of his contributions, the Township will present Wayne with a ceremonial street sign for “Burns Way” — the ceremonial name of St. Lawrence Street from Main Street to Clarence Street, where his first pharmacy was located.

The ceremony will take place today at 6:00 p.m. at Sweet Corner Park. Social distancing would be appreciated.

Please Slow Down on the Hospital Ring Road! 🚘🚕🚗

Just a gentle reminder to all drivers using the hospital ring road — the speed limit is 20 km/hr, and there are 🛑 STOP 🛑 signs at pedestrian crossings. 🚶🏾‍♀️🚶🏿‍♂️These areas are often used by patients, elderly residents, and staff moving between buildings and parking lots.

We've had a few close calls recently, so please take a moment to slow down and stop where required. Your caution helps keep everyone safe. 💙

Thank you for driving with care and helping us protect our community! 🏥✨
