‼️FLORA 🌸 IS BACK IN ACTION‼️ (but a little differently than before)!

Thank you all so much for your patience as I navigate our new post-baby normal! ❤️ I will be booking VIRTUAL appointments only starting next week, and will be introducing HOME VISITS again in the coming weeks/months.

I am in the process of getting back to everyone who has emailed, called, and texted to get you booked in!

As amazing as the clinic space was, I am now working with a very limited schedule, so we had to pivot what Flora looks like (for now). Though the delivery may look different for some, the quality and treatment plans will still look the same!

For everyone’s convenience, I’m also using a new booking platform that will keep everything in one place. If I’ve ever assigned homework to you, it was through Embodia, so now booking, billing etc. will all be done through here as well. So much simpler!

I’m looking forward to seeing old and new faces again starting next week!! Spaces are very limited!

Quick reminder that next Thursday, May 11th will be my last day in clinic before maternity leave! 👶🏼 I’ll be available for virtual sessions for the rest of May (and possibly very early June), for those still requiring care or quick check-ins

I have very limited appointments available this week and next, so book soon if you’re looking to get in for a final session 😊

Flora Update! 👶🏻

It’s getting a little hard to hide it, so I figured it was time to share with you all.. we are expecting a new addition to our family this June!

I’ve already appreciated all the well wishes from those of you that know ❤️

My goal is continue on with clinic hours into May, but I will be taking it week by week, and I will update everyone if anything changes.

I strongly recommend that if you or someone you know are interested in booking an assessment or follow-up appointments, that you book in sooner rather than later to ensure a completed treatment plan before I go on leave 😊

I will keep everyone in the loop about what my leave and return will look like! Thanks for following along!

Still here… 😅

I’ve been slightly MIA on here lately, with things being busy at the clinic, spending too much time gardening, and last-minute wedding planning for August!

With lots of new faces in the past couple of months, I thought I’d do a little re-introduction.

I’m Janessa, a physiotherapist specializing in women’s health and chronic pain. My special interest lies in pre and post-partum health and wellbeing. I advocate that all women should have access to pelvic physiotherapy to prepare for better birth outcomes, as well as rehab and recovery after.

Did you know several European countries offer funded pelvic physiotherapy for free to ALL moms? I will be waiting patiently for Canada to get on board 👏🏻

I also still do “regular” orthopaedic physiotherapy. Working with national-level female athletes is what began my special interest in pelvic health! ⚽️

The time has come! 😷 As you may know, mask mandates have been lifted in most healthcare settings. As of today, masks are OPTIONAL in clinic! You are welcome to show off your smiling face, or wear a mask if you are still more comfortable doing so.

I am more than happy to wear a mask during sessions, if you prefer. Please let me know when you arrive for your appointment what you are most comfortable with.

Flora will be continuing with Covid screening prior to appointments. As always, virtual physiotherapy is a great alternative if you are sick, or are still more comfortable receiving care from home.
