RPN NEEDED TO JOIN OUR TEAM !
The Nation River Health Clinic is looking for a responsible and professional Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) to cover an 18-month maternity leave. If you're passionate about family care and thrive in a supportive environment, we want to hear from you!
We are a well established team of 7 family doctors that offers comprehensive primary health and obstetrical care alongside a dedicated team of nurses to the local and surrounding communities of Wi******er, Ontario. Our clinic is also home to an incredible admin team, a nurse practitioner, an RN for preventative care, a diabetic nurse and on occasion a general surgeon. We also take pride in education by hosting both nursing and medical students along their journey.
We are looking for one full-time RPN (or two part-time RPNs) for a mid-February start. The position offers a consistent Monday-Friday schedule from 8:45 am to 4:45 pm, with no weekends or evenings required. Enjoy a healthy work-life balance with two weeks of vacation included. You'll be working alongside two other nurses in a busy yet collaborative clinic environment where teamwork is highly valued. We provide two weeks of comprehensive training to ensure you feel confident and prepared. Our staff are known for being friendly and approachable, making our clinic a great place to work.
Duties include:
-initiating note for said visit, measuring and recording weight, blood pressure and other necessary details pertinent for the visit
-injections for patients of all ages ie. well baby/child vaccines, routine vaccines, flu shot, etc.
-assisting the physicians when needed for procedures including preparing the trays for procedures including paps, lesion removal, cryotherapy, vasectomy.
-performing delegated acts such as ear syringing, suture removal, urine analysis. We do not do venipuncture or ECGs at the clinic.
-disinfecting, cleaning and sterilizing instruments.
-administrative duties include triaging patients when needed, giving patient advice, answering messages from patients and/or physicians, liaising with local public health agency, labs and other physicians' offices as required.
We are fully integrated and paperless on PS Suite Electronic Medical Records.
Must haves:
-licensed RPN in good standing with your college
-friendly
-punctual
-reliable
-knowledge of computers - Mac even better
-quick-learner
Asset but not a must:
-bilingual
-previous experience working in a family health clinic
-knowledge and experience with PS Suite EMR
