Dr. Jerry Tan is a specialist in dermatology and has researched skin disorders for more than 20 years. He is an international speaker, author of 100+ research papers on acne and rosacea, and has collaborated with multiple skin care brands such as Boots/Walgreens, Bausch, Cerave, Galderma, L'Oreal, Novartis, Vichy. He has received awards from the Canadian Dermatology Foundation and the Canadian Skin Patient Alliance. Our staff includes nurses and aestheticians with expertise in skin and hair care. All of our staff have been trained to assist patients before, during and after treatment in a comforting, courteous and professional manner. We offer all this in a soothing, professional environment where your comfort and safety is our primary concern.

Training days are our favourite days! ✨

Last month, we welcomed Stephanie to our office to train us through the new Anthrex system that we will soon be offering to patients in our office!

This system is specifically for platelet rich plasma treatments, which are great for mature or aging skin, hair loss, hair thinning, scars, and chronic wounds.

We’re exciting to be welcoming the next generation of PRP therapy into our office, which includes no synthetic additives and less injection pain.

Ever wonder what an initial consult at our office looks like? 🩵

Our consults typically consist of three steps:

1) Upon visiting, you’ll begin with a few forms to explain the goal you want to get out of this consultation.

2) Once you step into the treatment room, our aestheticians will discuss your current concerns, your skin care routines, along with any previous treatments. This helps us gain a better sense of your concern.

3) Once we come to a complete understanding of the issue, we then recommend possible treatments and products that would help to suit your needs. These recommendations are completely customized to you!

Our Story

Dr. Jerry Tan is a certified specialist in dermatology with extensive experience in clinical care, research, and cosmetic dermatology procedures. His medical degree was obtained in 1984 from Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario. He completed further training in internal medicine at the University of Toronto from 1984-1987 and served as a general internist at the Toronto Western Hospital from 1987-1988. He then trained in dermatology at the University of British Columbia and the University of Michigan and wrote his specialty examinations in Canada and the United States in 1991. Since then, he has practiced in Essex and Kent county as a general dermatologist in private practice in Windsor, Ontario and as a consultant at Windsor Regional Hospital, Metropolitan site. He teaches medical students at the medical school satellite in Windsor as an adjunct professor in the Schulich School of Medicine and Surgery, University of Western Ontario. His dermatology research projects are performed in an adjacent facility, Windsor Clinical Research Inc. The Healthy Image Centre’s staff includes nurses and aestheticians with special expertise in skin and hair care. All of our staff have been trained to assist patients before, during and after treatment in a comforting, courteous and professional manner. Our treatment facility offers advanced treatment equipment and treatment rooms in a comfortable, soothing environment.
