Your eyes can look perfectly healthy on the surface… but sometimes the earliest signs of eye disease are hiding beneath what we can see.
Think of a routine eye exam like looking at the top of a birthday cake 🎂. From the outside, the icing may look smooth and perfect. But what if there’s something going on inside the layers?
That’s where an Ocular OCT (Optical Coherence Tomography) comes in.
An OCT lets your eye doctor see every microscopic layer inside the eye, almost like slicing the cake and looking at each layer individually. It also allows us to measure the thickness of these layers with incredible precision.
Why does this matter? Because many serious eye conditions begin with very small structural changes deep within the retina and optic nerve—long before symptoms appear and before they can be seen with traditional examination alone.
With OCT technology, we can often detect early signs of conditions like:
• Glaucoma
• Macular degeneration
• Diabetic eye disease
• Retinal swelling or thinning
Early detection means earlier monitoring, earlier treatment, and better protection for your vision.
It’s quick, painless, and provides a level of detail that helps us protect your eyesight for years to come.
Sometimes the most important things are hidden in the layers. 👁️
