About Sigma:

Founded in 1922 by six nursing students, Sigma Theta Tau International (Sigma) now has over 600 chapters across the globe, from Armenia, Australia, and Botswana to Thailand, the United States, and Wales.

Two Ways to Join
1️⃣ Nursing Students
• Open to nursing students worldwide
• Undergrad & RN students:
◦ Completed half of the program (in 3rd year)
◦ GPA 3.0+, top 35% of class
◦ Demonstrate academic integrity
• Graduate (Master’s/Doctorate):
◦ Completed one fourth of the program
◦ GPA 3.5+
◦ Demonstrate academic integrity
• RNs with a baccalaureate may qualify as Nurse Leaders anytime


2️⃣ Nurse Leaders
• Licensed nurse in good standing
• Hold a baccalaureate degree or higher (in any field)
• Demonstrate excellence and achievement in nursing
