Jimi Knight and Michelle Bellmore-Knight stopped by HDGH this week to present a $10,000 donation on behalf of the Golden Links Club of Woodslee. As a former rehabilitation patient and graduate of the outpatient rehabilitation program, Jimi was honoured to present the gift in recognition of the outstanding care he received at HDGH. The donation will help support the development of the recently announced, Toldo Outpatient Rehabilitation Centre, scheduled to open this Fall.

Just 8 months ago, Jimi was working with our inter-disciplinary team to regain function of his left side of his body, today he is back to work full time, has resumed his love for playing softball and is continuing to work towards his goal of getting back on the ice to play hockey.

The Outpatient Rehabilitation program at HDGH sees over 15,000 patient visits annually from individuals navigating complex rehabilitation journeys. This includes those recovering from stroke, amputation, workplace injuries, or brain surgery. HDGH's specialized rehabilitation services help give patient's their life back. Exciting milestone for healthcare in Windsor-Essex County!

The Hôtel-Dieu Grace Healthcare Foundation has launched the Imagine Campaign, featuring plans for the new Toldo Outpatient Rehabilitation Centre - made possible by a generous $1.5M gift from the Toldo Foundation.

This transformative addition will enhance rehabilitation services for our community, housing specialized teams under one modern, accessible facility. Construction completes Fall 2025.

The need for quality rehab services continues to grow as residents work to regain mobility, return to work, and reconnect with their families. This campaign represents our commitment to meeting those needs.
