Please give this lady a BIG 🙌 ⁣

Being your best, healthy self isn’t always about what SIZE you are, but this is pretty damn cool.⁣

Imagine keeping your wedding dress from 10 years ago, trying it on, and it FITS.⁣

How cool of a feeling would that be??⁣

That’s why we gotta give a huge high-five to Colleen, a member now for just over 3 years, who hit this neat little milestone last month.⁣

Back in 2023, she came to us after retiring recently, and wanted to get into shape and be strong and healthy in retirement years.⁣

She loves to travel and didn’t want to miss out on adventures with hubby (and member) Dave.⁣

In the beginning, it was mostly a focus on reducing pain, improving strength, and adding muscle to her body.⁣

Then, more recently, the focus was on improving eating habits and body composition.⁣

And so she has!⁣

She paired Weight Watchers with her training, and the inches have really melted off.⁣

So much in fact, that she was curious about the dress still fitting and went ahead and put it back on - much to her delight ⁣

Her food and workout changes were nothing drastically different.⁣

Just mindful, reasonable food choices with a consistent attendance to her gym sessions and trying to progress her strength week over week.⁣

That’s all there is to it.⁣

Reasonable eating. Challenging weight training. Day after day, week after week, year after year.⁣

We won't jam a bunch of people into a space and anchor one coach at the front.⁣

We're right there with you, beside you, in front of you, keeping a close eye.⁣

Offering a quick cue to help with form.⁣

Every session has 1 coach, and up to 5 other people.⁣

Sandra lost 15 pounds, and got STRONGER 💪💪 Here’s her story ⬇️⁣

Her younger self was very active 💃 but at some point along the way it stopped.⁣

So she joined LIFT about 9 months ago to start her strength training journey.⁣

She immediately dove in, showing up consistently with a smile 😁 and a can-do attitude 👍⁣

But around the 4-ish month mark, she felt amazing but still didn’t feel that she looked like herself.⁣

And she wanted that back.⁣

It was hard for her, but she sat down and asked us for help with not only her particular dietary needs,⁣

but also help managing the narratives around her history with food.⁣

So a plan was devised 📖📊⁣

She was able to eat many of the usual foods she always enjoyed - with more focus on hitting over 130 grams of protein each day,⁣

slightly higher fat intake,⁣

and being more mindful of the not-so-good foods.⁣

In the first weeks, the accountability to us kept her motivated.⁣

We tracked her weight, but more importantly, her inches, to show objective progress.⁣

Once the inches started to fall off, the results kept her motivated to keep going week after week.⁣

Along the way, she was reminded of the importance of self-love; to face challenges, fail, get up, show up, keep going - and to keep growing! ⁣

At the end of January she hit the 15 pound weight loss mark - and on top of that, 2 inches off of her waist, 3 inches off her hips, and 2 inches off her thighs. 📈 Legit!⁣

And she stayed STRONG, increasing her weights on her exercises and staying STRONG along the way.⁣

Her best tip for you? 🫵⁣

She preaches COMPLIANCE over ADVICE.⁣

Meaning, lots of advice can be great, but it’s following through is most important.⁣

This is Cathy. She’s 65. And just learned how to surf! 🏄‍♀️🔥⁣

This LIFT legend is a true badass, who is demonstrating her “why”.⁣

To be able to travel the world, do stuff like this, and live her best life.⁣

She consistently shows up to her sessions with a work ethic and can-do attitude 💪, and encourages her workout buddies to do their best.⁣

Gotta give this kid some love this week!

Everyone, meet Jess!⁣

She's been part of the LIFT gang for over 18 months now and deserves some high-fives 🙌⁣

➡️ Shows up 3x a week - and never misses.⁣

➡️ Constantly challenges herself to be better - always wants to go heavier, always asks to be pushed 💪⁣

➡️ Eats with intention (chicken, green beans, potatoes 👌), and stays consistent.⁣

Oh - and recently she casually mentioned to Coach Mike that she’s down 10 lbs - which is a huge win, especially knowing how hard she’s worked for it.⁣

P.S. - She’s also built a great training partnership with fellow members (right Maureen and Amanda!) and somehow still has time between sets for top-tier TV show debates 📺🤣⁣

Strong habits.⁣
Stronger mindset.⁣
Great human.⁣

📢 Success isn’t about PERFECTION - it’s about making PROGRESS 📢⁣

Here's John. He's been a member at LIFT for about a year now, and we're super proud of his recent accomplishments!⁣

He's lost 16 pounds, and it all started by making small, consistent changes.⁣⁣

We asked him to share some of what he's learned along the way to losing his first 16 pounds:⁣⁣

1️⃣ Focus on one day at a time: Instead of stressing over the end goal, he started focusing on daily improvements - little wins each day really add up over time!⁣⁣

2️⃣ Preparation is everything: John found that 5 minute tasks, like prepping a protein shake and laying out his clothes the night before made mornings so much easier.⁣⁣

3️⃣ Accountability makes a difference: With a recent gym challenge, he kept himself accountable by posting his activity. People reached out when they noticed he hadn’t posted yet for that day!⁣⁣

4️⃣ Find your “WHY”: For John, it’s his future grandkids. The weight loss is great, but more importantly, he wants to be ready to get down on the floor and play with them, and that’s what keeps him going.⁣⁣

🔑 The biggest takeaway:⁣

Small steps MATTER.⁣⁣

The secret is…..⁣⁣

She never gave up.⁣⁣

She never quit. She never stopped. She kept up with it.⁣⁣

Through a full-time, chaotic and exhausting career. (Recently retired!)⁣⁣

Through a knee replacement, constant lower back and shoulder pain.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
She just never stopped the day-to-day consistency.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
There were frustrating days. Her body hurt. She was tired from work. Or the scale didn’t budget as much as she hoped.⁣⁣

But she kept going.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
And you should, too.⁣⁣

Eat what you know you should be eating, when you should be eating it.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Move when you know you should be moving.⁣⁣

Doesn’t have to be every day, but most days.⁣⁣

And Just. Don’t. Stop.⁣⁣

3-2-1 Rule for better sleep, try it tonight!

⏰️ 3 hours before bed: No more eating meals, snacks, etc.⁣

➡️ This will give your dinner time to settle and digest before laying down.⁣

⏰️ 2 hours before bed - No more liquids.⁣

➡️ This should help limit disruptive trips to the bathroom through the night.⁣

⏰️ 1 hour bed - No more screens. I know!⁣

➡️ This one is probably the toughest for us (myself included).⁣

But doing so will help you “down shift” to a calmer state leading up to bed time, which can help you fall asleep easier and stay asleep longer.⁣

Can’t remember where I saw this, but if you’re struggling to get good rest (I do!), let’s give this one a try.⁣
