If you’ve been around our office for any length of time, you know that we are very passionate about what we do.

Arlene is so committed to providing outstanding foot care and improving access to foot care that she teaches aspiring foot care nurses during their clinical rotations. We’ve got two students in the office with us working closely with Arlene and caring for patients under her incredibly watchful eyes. If you see them, say hi!

TRANSFORMATION TUESDAY✨👣

If you’ve ever dealt with toenail fungus you know it is
a) way more common than you’d ever think
b) super easy to contract & even easier to spread
c) super persistent and slow to resolve

For this initial visit, we reduced the thickened nails, trimmed, filed & shaped all nails & gave a very thorough & comforting massage with lots of moisturizer for the skin & nails.

Maybe the changes between appointments are subtle, but the feeling of relief and improvement in foot condition can be instant!

The client was also provided with extensive health teaching and solutions to try at home in between appointments.

Dealing with foot fungus? Best to get rid of it as soon as possible before complications set in!

Where did your feet take you on this beauty of a day?!

Mine took me to the beaches of Point Pelee!

What can you do to keep your feet feeling smooth and healthy in between appointments?

Moisturizer and scrubbing your feet with a foot paddle can go a long way to reducing callous, removing dry/flaky skin & maintaining skin integrity. Remember, healthy well-moisturizer skin is harder to break down and keep free from painful fissures and cracks.

We have plenty of foot paddles and moisturizers in stock throughout the year, and we’re happy to point you in the direction of some alternatives available at your local grocery store or pharmacy.

Pro tip: apply moisturizer to the top (dorsal) & bottom (plantar) surface of your feet- skip moisturizing between the toes as this area is likely to hold excessive moisture already 👣
