The vibrations of the didgeridoo and sound bowls don’t just reach your ears, they’re felt throughout your body! During this sound bath, you receive individualized sound and vibration as the instrument is played directly over you.

The soft droning calms brainwaves, softens held tension, and opens the energy centres where stress and stuck emotions tend to collect. Each participant receives this work personally, creating a deep reset, and a return to balance.

We’re welcoming Peter & Bobbi back for their fourth powerful Didgeridoo Sound Bath. This is an ancient practice of vibration, voice, and frequency to realign you from the inside out.

We’re excited to welcome Megan to The Shala as a guest teacher! With training in both Yoga and Massage Therapy, she brings an integrative approach rooted in mindful movement, body awareness, and alignment. Her teaching style supports nervous system regulation and encourages a sense of ease, helping people feel more connected and at home in their bodies.

Megan will be offering her Mindful Flow class: a steady, intentional take on vinyasa-style yoga. Expect breath-led movement, strength, mobility, and moments that both soften and energize. All levels are welcome.

2025 was a year of showing up together.

We had sweaty practices, deep breaths, and cathartic workshops. We had shared struggles and wins. The Shala container held laughter, tears, transformation, and the very real patience required to survive eternal construction on University Avenue 😂 through it all, this community kept choosing presence.

To our long-time practitioners, regulars, and friends: thank you for growing with us, for trusting the process, and for letting this space be real, messy, honest, and alive.

To those who have just found us and are ready to grow next year: welcome home. We’re so glad you’re here.

The Shala continues to be shaped not just by what happens on the mat, but by the people who walk through our doors, showing up as they are, doing the work, and holding space for one another.

We’re stepping into 2026 with full hearts, deep intentions, and so much excitement for what’s unfolding next.

Our fourth annual food drive is here! Each year, as a community, we come together to ensure no kid goes without over the holidays.

We’re gathering donations for Kids First Food Bank, an incredible local organization run by that serves over 900 individuals every week. There are no geographic boundaries to their support — if someone needs food, they’re welcomed.

From now until Friday, December 19th, you can drop off non-perishable items at The Shala Yoga & Meditation Studio. One can, one box, one bag makes a real difference. If you bring 5 or more items for donation, we will add a Class Pass to your account! 🥫🔖
