🌷Spring cleaning isn't just about tidying your home–it can also support your mental well-being.

When our spaces feel overwhelming, it can impact how we feel. Taking time to sort, organize, and let go of items we no longer need can be a small but meaningful step toward reducing stress and creating a more peaceful environment.

Even small steps can make a difference:
✨Start with one drawer or shelf
✨Keep what you use or truly love
✨Donate or recycle what no longer serves you
✨Take breaks and go at your own pace

A clearer space can help create a clearer mind 🧠

Roots of Hope Pillar #1: Means Safety

The methods that people use or the places where a high number of su***des occur need to be identified, and measures need to be taken to remove or ensure safe access to them. For example, barriers can be built on bridges or at railway crossings, or protocols can be created for medication access. Community members can follow these practices to keep their loved ones safe and help reduce su***des by creating a safer home.

By improving safety measures, increasing awareness, and working with community partners, we can help prevent su***de and support people during moments of crisis. Small actions can make a big difference in protecting lives.

Thank you to the University of Windsor’s Odette Commerce Society for hosting a Panel of Community Leaders to talk about the work being done in our Community to help those who are unhoused and to educate on the topic of homelessness itself. It was great to see these Community partners sharing about the work their Teams do daily as well as some of the wins we can all share in! Thank you to all the Students and all Attendees for showing up, sharing and learning so we can all strive for a better tomorrow for ALL our neighbours 🙏🏽
