Good day.
The Governing body for Massage Therapist has given its permission to begin offering services once again. Initially, I will only be seeing 5 clients a day. I will only be able to allow you, the client into the clinic (no one else can be in the clinic). Once you have left the clinic I will spend 30 minutes cleaning, disinfecting and changing the massage room. In addition, the reception area will be disinfected and cleaned as well.
I will resume massaging beginning Thursday June 4th, 2020. Please contact me to arrange your appointment(s).
Furthermore, I will also be instituting the following procedures upon your arrival to the clinic. I will be asking you to:
1) sign a log in form,
2) sign a consent form
3) allow me to take your temperature
4) answer some health questions as part of the COVID-19 assessment
• Have you been outside of Canada in the last 14 days?
• Do you have a fever?
• Do you have a cough?
• Any shortness of breath?
NOTE: For my clients that are front line workers or have immediate family that are front line workers; have you been tested for COVID-19?
Here is what I will be doing to protect your health and safety:
• I’ll be wearing mask while doing the massage
• I would asked you to wear one when you are on your back for neck massage. There would be no face massage (nothing around eyes, nose, mouth area) for the time being
• Nitrile gloves may be worn for your massage if required
The following Operational changes have been made:
1. please come in at your scheduled time, the entrance door will be locked until we are ready to receive you.
2. there will not be any seats for waiting.
3. for my clients that come with their family; I am truly SORRY but they will have to wait in the car or outside until their scheduled appointment.
4. there will be a plastic tote for you to put your clothes in (it is easier to disinfect the tote).
Thank you for your understanding and patience with these new procedures.
Looking forward to seeing you all soon,
Mary Ann Pineda RMT
