Starting a hospital stay can feel overwhelming—we’re changing that.

This , we are helping patients and families feel informed, prepared, and supported before they even arrive, with the launch of our HDGH Welcome Video!

With clear info on the care they’ll receive, daily routines, what to bring, and even more information that past patients and families said they wish they would have known, the video gives viewers a glimpse into what they can expect from HDGH.

The video is offered in English, with four additional videos in production that will provide subtitles in some of the most spoken languages of our region: Arabic, Italian, Spanish, and French.

Clients supported through HDGH's Concurrent Disorders Treatment Program and Wellness Treatment Program have recently received a creative upgrade to their group room thanks to University of Windsor Masters of Social Work students Carly and Emma.

Up to 80 clients who are supported in this group room each week will now be welcomed by a vibrant and informative bulletin board that covers key components and skills from Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT). Clients are able to take home pocket-sized information to support their mental health and wellbeing. Thank you for work and creativity Emma and Carly!
