Clients taking part in RCC's ITS Summer Program wrapped up the season by showing off their creativity through the Kids in Partnership (KiP) Kindness Art Contest.

KiP is a group of youth (8-12 years old) and adults working in partnership to engage kids in mental health services.

"Kindness" was selected as the Art Contest theme because "kindness makes people around you feel good and it makes you feel good too".

Congratulations to all who took part in the contest and to our top three winners.

Today is International Overdose Awareness Day

We honour the lives lost to overdose and stand with those who continue to struggle. At HDGH, we are committed to supporting individuals facing addiction and mental health challenges. Our Mental Health and Addictions Urgent Crisis Centre serves as an entry point into Ontario's treatment system for local residents experiencing substance use concerns.

Together, we can reduce stigma, raise awareness, and build a community where healing is possible. 💜

Meet Russell, the son of Kathleen, HDGH Physiotherapist. This is the second year that Russel has collected and now donated approximately 20 backpacks, duffle bags and totes as part of his "Bags for Dignity" initiative. With numerous Clothing Closets at HDGH - offering new and gently used clothing and accessories for patients and clients in our care who are in need, Russel's initiative supports these individuals even further by providing them with a practical and dignified way to pack and carry their personal belongings when they return to the community.
