An initiative in the IWK birth unit is showing significant promise in lowering the number of unplanned Caesarean sections (CS) at the hospital. The Full Moon Challenge promotes a strategy for birthing person positioning during labour. Within the three months of its implementation unplanned CS dropped from 24 percent to 16 percent.

Tasty Tuesday! Fairy Garden Soup & Full Moon Sandwich!

Did you know I do not use premade broth for my soup? I start from the bottom of the pot using vegetables, herbs and spices. That is why every soup I make, doesn’t taste the same! After years of working in kitchens, following recipes got so boring! I love that I get to come here every morning for a fresh start with a “blank canvas” to create delicious plant based meals!
