WHAT IS DETOX AND WHY DO WE NEED IT?
Detox is the cleansing of the body of toxins. Our bodies are naturally designed to eliminate toxins and cleanse themselves of waste through our filtering organs: the intestines, liver, and kidneys. However, the modern lifestyle leaves little opportunity to do this effectively.
A person may appear healthy, yet their sensitivity leaves much to be desired: stomach problems, unhealthy complexion, fatigue, cellulite, joint pain, allergies, depression, and much more.
This has led to the development of an acidic state, or in other words, the accumulation of toxins and waste due to poor diet, pollution, stress, and physical inactivity.
What are toxins?
A toxin is a poison of biological origin. This refers to substances that enter us from outside the body through food, water, household chemicals, cosmetics, medications, alcohol, ci******es, or from less-than-clean air. There are also endogenous toxins, which are produced by viruses, fungi, parasites, and bacteria during their life cycles.
What types of toxins are there?
• Water-soluble – these make up 80% of the total.
• Fat-soluble – these make up 20%.
Every day, the human body must expend a huge amount of energy eliminating all these harmful substances through the excretory system. The problem is that the overloaded system can't cope with its task. As a result, many harmful substances remain in the body and worsen our health. This is why it's so important to detoxify the entire body from time to time to restore health, energy, and thus prolong youth and beauty in an environmentally friendly way!
