The tools are crafted from pieces of bamboo and rattan, which are used like extension of the Therapist's hands. The bamboo literally does the work for you. ASHIATSU MASSAGE:
Ashiatsu is a luxurious compression massage using deep, smooth effleurage gliding strokes all over the body. This technique provides a deep effect of relaxation, and stimulates the lymphatic system. Movements are combined with centrifugal and centripetal directions. Specific strokes create a structural change in chronic soft tissue damage, and provide deep relaxation. This is a deep tissue massage which focuses on the deeper layers of soft tissues. Ashiatsu is intended to balance muscle tone, correct body posture and release muscles from chronic pain. This massage is done barefoot with bars overhead used for balance.
