Why "Life Without a Tail"?
It’s a curious name for a candle business, especially when our mascot is a cat! We thought we’d shed a little light on the story behind our name for anyone new here.
Bob, our feline muse, was born without a tail. For cats, that’s kind of a big deal—tails help with balance, coordination, and being born without one can even be tied to spinal, and nerve problems. Bob has defied the odds. Despite the challenges that often come with being tailless, he’s perfectly healthy and thriving. Sure, he might take the occasional tumble, but he gets right back up. He’s figured out how to live a full life—without a tail.
Bob entered my life during a tough time. I was overwhelmed with grief and trying to find my footing. And somehow, this little tailless wonder brought me peace, strength, and a deeper connection to my spirituality. He’s been a companion, a healer, and—believe it or not—a surprisingly accurate oracle card puller (yes, really).
Through Bob, I learned how to navigate life without my tail—the emotional balance, clarity, and joy I felt I’d lost. Out of this journey came Life Without a Tail: a blend of my love for candle-making and the healing energy I discovered along the way. Each candle is crafted with essential oils and intention, made to support anyone looking to reconnect, rebalance, or just add a little light to their path.
