A gentle reset for a tight, tired lower back (and lower back pain). This is a great flow, for anyone, but if you're someone who sits at their desk for a majority part of their day. The snow is here and it looks like it's still coming down slowly today. We're here to remind you:

Shoveling snow is a workout, so treat it like one.
Before you go outside, remember:
❄️ Warm-up by doing a few stretches. Do a few minutes of light movement such as arm circles, lunges, and squats before you start.
❄️ Lift with your legs. Bend at the hips and knees, keep the shovel close to your body, and avoid twisting when lifting or tossing snow.
❄️ Take breaks! Shoveling is intense cardio. Stop regularly, breathe, and listen to your body, especially if you feel dizzy, tight, or overly fatigued.

Cold weather + rushed movements = unnecessary strain. Move with intention and listen to your body.

She believes in working together with her patients and is passionate about creating realistic, evidence-based recommendations that are tailored to each individual, because no two paths are the same.

In 2025, Dr. Beth celebrated 10 years in practice, and what continues to inspire her most is creating a safe, supportive space where patients can openly share all aspects of their health. She feels deeply honored to support her patients as they work toward feeling better and more balanced.

Preparing your body for rest is just as important as how you start your day. Gentle stretching before bed helps release built-up tension, slow your nervous system, and signal to your body that it’s time to rest.

This doesn’t need to be long or complicated. A few minutes of intentional movement and steady breathing can improve circulation, reduce stiffness, and support deeper, more restorative sleep.
