And with today, our Holy Blessed month of Ramadan concludes on the 29th day, today.

Tomorrow, we get to celebrate Eid AlFitr by sharing prayers to Allah for His blessings to shower upon us all.

Eid Mubarak to each of you & your beautiful families and loved ones. While we celebrate, letโ€™s keep all people globally, and my people especially, in our prayers/duaโ€™s. May Allah (God) guide and be with them and grant them the patience to handle all this, may Allah ease the pain and suffering upon them.

With all my love to all of you,
Yours truly,

As I walk through my Palestinian journey, I continue to reflect on the footsteps that my great grandmother Khadijeh, Um Ahmed, and my grandfathers, Mohammed and Hussein, have carved for me so I can continue to walk the pathway.

It serves me great pleasure to be entrusted and appointed a new role at the University of Windsor as the Palestinian Student Support Advisor, while maintaining my Assistant Professor role at the School of Social Work. The new role as shared in this article brings upon the criticality of being there with our students as they navigate through the traumatic and emotional impact of our worlds today. I pray that I am able to serve and support in the best possible capacity to navigate this journey alongside of our students.

For this, I owe the greatest appreciations to our leaders for entrusting me with this role of a lifetime that has liberated my soul. I can't wait to share, support, and walk this journey with my great and grandparents praying for me

In the interim of this week, Allah has blessed me with a wonderful updated. I am delighted that I have been accepted at the Conversations: An International Conference held by Dalhousie University virtually.

I am following up the event I held and expanding it with a critical conversation, " โ€œEmbracing Antiracism Approaches in Supporting an Ever-Growing Diverse Population: A Self-Exploration Approach to Embrace, Deconstruct and Operationalize Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Decolonization,โ€

I will, as always, post a reflection to share some of the lessons learned, as I plan 2.0 of this event!
