Join us for The Vital Vagus Nerve, Sat Oct 19...1-4 pm $60 plus tax that has a little bit of everything for any condition you may face. This workshop has some nutrition counselling, movement medicine, mindset and mindfulness medicine, MELT Method at Pilates Manitoba in Winnipeg medicine, yoga and group reiki. Annabel is a trained "social prescribing link worker" (thank you National Centre for Integrative Medicine) in collaboration with other multi-professionals to to promote the active participation of the client in their wellness, healing, and recovery. We encourage and support you to apply the six ways to wellbeing.

The psoas is not the problem but it is the messenger. If you talk about it like a muscle then you are limited to descriptors like "weak" or "strong"...it is bio-morphic (thanks Liz Koch and her Wild Psoas wisdom)...its vibrates and gets depleted or exhausted...and then... it can be restored and gentle "trained" and then you thrive again and come back home... to your North Star...your inner guidance, your "powerhouse", your Higher Self, your "organ" of consciousness...thanks to the MELT MethodMethod, Sue Hitzmann, the MELT Method at Pilates Manitoba in Winnipeg, and using the Pilates Reformer as a fascial and joint "pump" not "resistance training" (UGH😒) (ever tried blowing up a Paddle Board to 13 PSI? Muscle don't push...they pull...make it easier on your body, try Reformer Pilates and you will know). Taking a few minutes each day to focus on your breath can have a profound impact on your overall well-being. Breath awareness, also known as mindful breathing, is the practice of paying attention to your breath in the present moment.
Allowing it to come and go on its own. Be the observer of your breath, just as it is.
Benefits of Breath Awareness:

How to Practice Breath Awareness:
1. Find a quiet and comfortable spot to sit or lie down
2. Close your eyes and take a deep breath in through your nose and out through your mouth
3. Bring your attention to your breath, feeling the sensation of the air moving in and out of your body
4. When your mind wanders (and it will!), gently bring it back to your breath without judgment
5. Start with short sessions, like 2-3 minutes, and gradually increase as you become more comfortable with the practice
Remember: The goal of breath awareness isn’t to control your breath, but to cultivate awareness of the present moment. By focusing on your breath, you can quiet the mind, calm the body, and connect with your inner self.
