We’re kicking things off with an opening ceremony by Kookum Gayle Pruden, and then spending the day together with activities, music, and plenty of good food.

Consent is the foundation of every s*xual experience. It means asking, listening, and respecting—every step of the way. Yes should be enthusiastic, sober, and freely given. No is always valid. Changing your mind is always allowed. Pressure isn’t consent. Silence isn’t consent.

Without consent, it’s harm—and that harm is never the survivor’s fault.

If you’ve experienced a s*xual assault, it was not your fault.

Cervical cancer occurs when abnormal cells in the cervix grow uncontrollably and can spread to other tissues. Early detection through regular screening improves treatment outcomes. Anyone with a cervix who has had s*xual contact should start screening by age 25. Pap tests are recommended every 3 years and should continue until age 70, or longer if there haven’t been three negative tests in the past 10 years.

Call Mount Carmel Clinic to book your Pap Test or look out for our monthly Pap-Day!
