🤕Feeling stiff and sore after every workout?
😓Tired, fatigued, nagging pain, decreased performance?
☝️These are all symptoms of overtraining
📈While it’s important to train hard enough to stimulate adaptations
🏋️♂️There needs to be a balance between your training stress and your ability to recover form it
🤔You may have seen many products that claim to help with these symptoms
🥶From ice baths and saunas to massage guns and red light devices, all of these modalities claim to help the recovery process in some way
🥱The reality is that many of these modalities only provide temporary relief from symptoms, and many of the claims of improving recovery are overblown or straight up inaccurate
😃Most of the things that actually help with recovery cost little to no money, and are more effective than many of the recovery modalities on the market, such as;
🍔Eating enough food and protein to help repair tissue
😴Getting enough sleep to help repair tissue
🏋️♂️Managing training loads - changing your weights, sets and reps to help manage soreness and fatigue
🤸♀️General movement and cardiovascular activity - helps to promote blood flow to tissues that need repair
👍Once you got the basics covered, you probably won’t feel the need to spend hundreds of dollars on recovery tools
