There’s something special about working in a building that has been part of Winnipeg’s story for over a century.

The Exchange District was built during a time of growth, ambition, and craftsmanship and many of those original details still stand today. Brick façades. Tall windows. Solid foundations.

This neighbourhood has evolved over the years, but its character has never disappeared.

We’re proud to be part of that ongoing story at 286 McDermot Ave, serving the community right here in the heart of the Exchange.

Pink eye (conjunctivitis) can show up with:
• Red or pink eyes
• Itchiness or irritation
• Watery or sticky discharge
• Crusting, especially in the morning

Not all red eyes are the same though. Allergies, viruses, and bacteria can look similar but they’re treated differently.

Before reaching for drops, come chat with your pharmacist. They can help you figure out next steps.

What “take with food” actually means 🍽️

This instruction can mean different things depending on the medication and it’s not always as straightforward as it sounds. In many cases, “with food” means taking your medication with a meal or a small snack to help reduce stomach upset. For some medications, food also helps your body absorb the medication properly.

On the flip side, taking certain medications on an empty stomach can lead to nausea or make them less effective. Because the meaning of “with food” can vary, it’s always worth checking in with your pharmacist so you know what works best for that specific medication.

When in doubt, ask, your pharmacist is always happy to explain.
