Accountability Story:
With my community, our workout plan includes a HIIT workout each week. If I’m being truly honest, it’s not my most favourite to do and is often left on the table if I’m short on time for the week. AND I KNOW that challenge = change, so if the HIIT is the hardest to do, it will likely offer the most change in my power and strength.
One day, I decided to ask Elsie if she would workout with me, explaining that there’s jumping exercises in a HIIT and that I was finding it hard to get my motivation. With ease, she said yes and her only requirement was that there weren’t any weights to hold….Ok yay! So we put on a 25min video, played some music and regularly high fived each other.
The result?
👏🏻 I loved it! It was so much more FUN to do it together
👏🏻She loved it AND asked to do it again next week 🤯
👏🏻We are a month in and loving this time spent together moving our bodies 💪🏻
This is the way accountability works!! Find a partner, friend, healthcare provider or even your child to help you get moving and check in regularly with them. Hold each other accountable by making a plan: When and where are you working out? What’s your workout going to be? Schedule it in together and know that You got this 🫶🏻
