Tired of feeling overwhelmed, sad, exhausted, nervous and yet intuitively know there is holistic, whole-person, inexpensive, easily accessed and sustainable participatory medicine and wellness solutions? We know because we continue to heal ourselves with these methods and mindset...our mindset is our medicine. Join us for The Vital Vagus Nerve, Sat Oct 19...1-4 pm $60 plus tax that has a little bit of everything for any condition you may face. This workshop has some nutrition counselling, movement medicine, mindset and mindfulness medicine, MELT Method at Pilates Manitoba in Winnipeg medicine, yoga and group reiki. Annabel is a trained "social prescribing link worker" (thank you National Centre for Integrative Medicine) in collaboration with other multi-professionals to to promote the active participation of the client in their wellness, healing, and recovery. We encourage and support you to apply the six ways to wellbeing.

This includes:
Being active – do some physical activity you enjoy. In this workshop we do yoga & reiki (thanks Jenny Valdís) and MELT Method fascial hydration.
Continuous learning – try something new, set yourself a new challenge. Nutrition is always important info and in this workshop it is provided by Functional Nutritionist Elisia Ellie
Give – do something nice for someone. Link your happiness to the wider community.
Social connection – connect with people around you. We have tea and conversations afterwards.
Taking notice, being present – be aware of the world around you.
Caring for the planet – look after your community and the world.

The Power of Breath Awareness… with The Collective Alchemy
coming to Winnipeg with me and MELT Method at Pilates Manitoba in Winnipeg Sat May 11, 1-3 pm....

“Breath is the bridge between the body and the mind.” 😌
Taking a few minutes each day to focus on your breath can have a profound impact on your overall well-being. Breath awareness, also known as mindful breathing, is the practice of paying attention to your breath in the present moment.
Allowing it to come and go on its own. Be the observer of your breath, just as it is.
Benefits of Breath Awareness:
⭐️ Reduces stress and anxiety
⭐️ Calms the nervous system
⭐️ Improves sleep quality
⭐️ Increases energy
⭐️ Increases focus and concentration
⭐️ Enhances self-awareness
⭐️ Supports emotional regulation
How to Practice Breath Awareness:
1. Find a quiet and comfortable spot to sit or lie down
2. Close your eyes and take a deep breath in through your nose and out through your mouth
3. Bring your attention to your breath, feeling the sensation of the air moving in and out of your body
4. When your mind wanders (and it will!), gently bring it back to your breath without judgment
5. Start with short sessions, like 2-3 minutes, and gradually increase as you become more comfortable with the practice
Remember: The goal of breath awareness isn’t to control your breath, but to cultivate awareness of the present moment. By focusing on your breath, you can quiet the mind, calm the body, and connect with your inner self.

Join me and MK Art Therapy for our wholeness work and social prescribing initiative Tues March 19 at 6:30 - 8:30 am.

Bodymind Integration: connecting through therapeutic art making, movement, and breath work.

In this workshop we bring together art making, movement through the MELT method, and breath work to create a peaceful space for participants to engage in therapeutic introspection. We will be following a path beginning with meditation followed by art making, mindful movement, more art making and meditation, concluding with group reflection. Our aim is to guide participants towards a better understanding of how thoughts and emotions are held in the body, how the body and mind are integrally connected, and how to attend to those feelings through mindful movement and reflective creation.
