July 23, 2025.
Great day of learning at the AI Summit in Winnipeg today hosted by Bioscience Association Manitoba. Seeing how far AI has come and how fast it is evolving is almost unimaginable.

Healthcare in Canada is shifting along with AI to optimize outcomes for people with disabilities and our ageing population.

We are already starting to integrate AI into Incluzia processes and solutions (ethically, responsibly, and with full transparency).

The message continues to be, “Don’t get left behind, learn whatever you can about how AI can help you, your organization and the people you serve”

Thanks to Tech Manitoba, North Forge and other supporters of this important event! Today my brain is full but my potential is unlimited!

🌈 Pride Month 2025 🌈
Safe and Seen. Always.

This Pride Month, we celebrate the vibrant spectrum of 2SLGBTQIA+ identities, honoring the courage, resilience, and love that defines this community.

At Incluzia, we believe everyone deserves to feel Safe and Seen—not just in June, but every single day.

We proudly fly the Progress Pride Flag, recognizing the importance of inclusion, especially for Black, Brown, Trans, and Two-Spirit communities who have long led the way in the fight for justice and visibility.

To all our 2SLGBTQIA+ clients, colleagues, and community:
✨ We see you.
✨ We support you.
✨ We celebrate you.

✨ In recognition of National AccessAbility Week, I’m sharing a personal reflection on why accessible housing has become the core focus of my work.

Throughout my 25-year career as an Occupational Therapist, I’ve seen first hand how environmental barriers affect the daily lives of people with disabilities and older adults. While accessibility gaps exist across many sectors in Canada, I’ve chosen to concentrate my efforts where I believe I can make the most meaningful impact—in the spaces we call home.

There’s still so much work to be done to create a more inclusive Canada.
Where will you focus your energy for change?

As National Accessibility Awareness Week comes to a close we have a final CALL TO ACTION:

The Department of Occupational Therapy at University of Manitoba is working with Incluzia to conduct a research study called "Occupational Therapy Home Assessment Methods and Priorities".

✨ If you are an Occupational Therapist, OT Educator, OT Researcher, or OT Student, we are currently seeking participants to answer a questionnaire that will inform our research.

🏠 ♿ May 30- Incluzia's Modifications Symposium in Calgary, sponsored by Pinnacle Renovations is now SOLD OUT! 60 and supporters of home modifications, along with 10 product exhibitors, will leave with new knowledge, relationships and solutions to help clients throughout Alberta.

Other Events in Manitoba:
🖥 ♿ In Manitoba, the Accessibility Office of MB is offering free digital and social media webinars this week: https://accessibilitymb.ca/resources-events-and-training/awareness-dates.html

In Halifax for Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists conference and honoured to receive the Canada's Innovative Practice award! ✨

What a thrill to also receive the Award of Merit along side Lesya Dyk, Janet Craik and Tanya Fawkes for our collaborative volunteer work on CAOT's Home Modification Task Force.

It's a wild ride and I am humbled by all the support I continue to receive and the partnerships I am making through Incluzia, creating digital tools and training that are advancing the practice of OT home assessments and with the goal of creating more options for Canadians.

Thank you CAOT for the recognition and wonderful event!

Women’s Day is a celebration of the strength, resilience, and achievements of women across the globe. It signifies:

1. Unity: Women’s Day brings us together, transcending borders, cultures, and backgrounds. It’s a reminder that we’re part of a powerful sisterhood, supporting and uplifting each other.
2. Acknowledgment: It’s a day to recognize the countless contributions of women—historical and contemporary—in various fields: science, arts, politics, education, and beyond.
3. Empowerment: Women’s Day inspires us to break barriers, challenge stereotypes, and advocate for gender equality. It’s a call to action—to amplify women’s voices and create a more equitable world.
4. Gratitude: I feel immense gratitude for the women who paved the way for our rights and freedoms. Their courage fuels our progress.
5.Hope: Women’s Day reminds me that change is possible. We continue to fight for equal opportunities, representation, and a future where every woman’s potential is fully realized.

So, on this Women’s Day, let’s celebrate, uplift, and stand in solidarity with all the remarkable women who shape our world!
