The power of the body to heal when giving it the ability to do just that!
Top photo was a Wednesday morning. Hilda had come in with her right arm bent at the elbow and in pain. I asked her what had happened and this was her story: She had slipped on ice and landed hard on her right elbow on Monday. She went to hospital fearing a break but X-rays showed none. She was told it was a bruised nerve and it would take 2-4 weeks to heal. At that time she had some swelling in her arm from her elbow to her hand starting.
Over the next few days the swelling had progressively worsened and when she came in that Wednesday morning she had little ability to use her arm. It was extremely painful to move her arm at the elbow and the swelling was significant. You can see a line where her long sleeve shirt was in the top photo. Her hand was extremely swollen and she had little to no ability to use her hand for gripping or specific tasks with her fingers.
What did I do? I adjusted her spine. The fall created issue in her upper back and neck which affect nerve supply to her hand and forearm. In this case I ALSO adjusted her elbow. It popped. Boy oh boy did it pop. Almost immediately she had better movement in the arm and by the next day….well you see the result in the lower photo. 90% resolved with just some tenderness at the elbow.
The power of a specific properly performed adjustment will NEVER cease to amaze me!
