Returning to Myself can include many things, yet It's a surprise and a gift I am blessed to feel. Its been 7 years this past Winter since I dare creator to let me die, 7 years of trials and tribulations to get to who I am now. 7 years of carrying my Faith with blindfolds on, and 7 years of seeking his will until it broke me open.

I could not see. Returning to myself felt like a betrayal, it felt like crazy choices, it felt cold & damp like space-walking while breathing in imaginary worlds. It felt violent, and it shared the same taste as lies.

I stayed dedicated to Creator's call, the blindfold finally fell and Truth stroke my eyes with a clarity I will protect fiercely.

Returning to myself is unshakable faith,
Returning to myself is unconditional love,
Returning to myself is unbreakable will,
Returning to myself is unbound Resurgence
Returning to myself is unapologetic Wisdom.

It's been a moment since I posted different content than Beads & Crafts.

Yesterday I lay down on my couch for the first time in 6 months. Mental health disorders bring their weight of obstacles, yet they also open the doors to a spectrum of collateral beauty and insights that can propel us into places we've only seen in our dreams 🎇

The most important challenge for me as revealed to align my spirit, mind & heart together in uncharted ways, and its soo dang worth it. 💛💚🦅

I mess up this week end, and sometimes I feel like I've been the dictionary definition of a hot mess. Yet, I process my shame, my guilt and my worth differently now, I am learning to be accountable to myself rather than to the perception I hold of what accountability might look like.

My traditional name is Walking with Turtle and my western name is Shawna, I am a 2spirit Eeyou & Quebecer artist from Unceeded Anicinape land in so called "Senneterre, Qc" and have been a student with the University of Winnipeg since January 2017 on Treaty 1 Territority, land of the Inninew, Anishinabe, Dene, Lakota, Dakota, Blackfoot people and homeland of the Red River Metis.
