The Pause Life by Dr. Mary Claire Haver: I am experiencing difficulties understanding my OB-GYN. As a post-menopausal woman, I am dealing with new health issues. Why is a lady in her 20s promoting birth control and pelvic therapy for endometriosis when I have a cyst on one o***y that requires treatment? I am struggling with depression, anxiety, anger, pain, and cognitive issues. As time passes, I feel less feminine and increasingly enraged. No one seems to comprehend my situation. The stigma surrounding these issues in Canada is evident in workplaces and among young doctors who lack understanding of my experiences. If she faced the challenges I encounter daily, I am confident she would be more empathetic. 🇨🇦

Regardless of my emotional state, certain days are manageable, but most days I don't feel like myself. I have numerous aspirations, but I'm hesitant.

Good day everyone. Today was a hard day for me; I'm also a person dealing with menopause issues, which cause anxiety, depression, and other issues that make some days hard. I needed a support system with friends, family, and work. I don't feel supported by people who make decisions based solely on their own experiences. If they've had to deal with it, maybe they could have been supportive. Yes, I've covered myself by emails to my union as I didn't know what to do. One day I'm fine, maybe for a week, but life and my body would break down, like my world stops. I've struggled with a lack of empathy. Listen, if I've ever been sick, a note was in. If I had the hours, I took them due to my medical condition. I'm openly speaking up for women in the workforce and have zero support. I have anger and frustration because if only they'd listened, I'd still be at work and happy. There's lots of judgment, no understanding. I didn't just need my note pad, I needed their support. I said I couldn't do all this work due to my situation. I was perfect where my first office was. One day, all this will come out. Prayers for anyone dealing with anything related. +

Hello everyone. I am writing to inform those residing in the Manitoba area that there is a notable lack of clinics catering to individuals experiencing menopause. Unfortunately, many doctors appear to be ill-informed about the appropriate treatments for symptoms, often providing ineffective solutions. It is imperative that individuals struggling with the challenges associated with menopausal changes receive comprehensive professional support. Therefore, I must inquire: are we falling under the umbrella of mental health? I do not believe that we are.

We need more support from other women who may or may not haven’t dealt with menopausal! We need more support from work placements! We need more support from families when dealing with a change in life that deeply impacts our lives as a women!
