"Hello fellow Nursing Graduate Students! My name is Ashley Cels, and I’m a second-year, full-time Master of Nursing student in the Education Stream. I'm also a certified cardiovascular nurse with a deep passion for cardiovascular care and healthcare professional education. Through my graduate studies, I aim to contribute to improving cardiac care delivery and fostering excellence in nursing, with a special focus on advocating for women’s cardiac health and supporting the development of future nurses. When I’m not studying, working, or volunteering, you’ll likely find me reading, visiting the lake, or going for a swim

📢📢📢 Meet our first co-chair!

"Hello, Graduate Nursing Students,

I am Young Rock Han, your GNSA Co-Chair for 2025 2026 and a second-year full-time MN student in the clinical stream. I also work as a research assistant on several projects at the University of Manitoba. My interests are cancer, equity, immigrant health, and the impact of language barriers on care. Through my studies, I want to improve communication in oncology and help make care more barrier-free for our newcomers.

In my free time, I run, work out, and I recently started Jiu-Jitsu.

📢📢📢 Meet the GNSA Secretary!

"Hi everyone! My name is Anne-Marie Gauthier and I will be serving as your 2025-26 GNSA Secretary! I am in my second year of full-time study in the Master of Nursing program, Education Stream. I have been working in the Emergency Department (ED) and Urgent Care settings for the last 6 years since graduating from U of M with my BN. I absolutely love the chaos that is the ED! My research interests lie in new graduate nurses and transition to practice; with a focus on direct entry to the ED from a schooling program. When not working or studying, you can find me snuggled up on the couch with a romance novel, at the gym, or planning my next trip. I look forward to meeting you all!"

"Hello Everyone!

I’m Olamide Olarewaju, your 2025–26 GNSA Treasurer and a second-year Master of Nursing student in the Education stream.

Over the years, my nursing career has taken me through acute care, leadership, and education.

Currently, my research interests lie in the transition to practice for new graduate nurses.

Outside of school and work, I channel my creativity into fashion, styling, and photoshoots, finding joy in bringing bold ideas to life.
