Finishing a massage is just the beginning. Gentle stretching afterward helps muscles cool,
improves circulation, and wards off next-day stiffness.

Post-massage mini routine:
• Neck side stretch, 20 seconds each side.
• Chest opener against a doorway, 30 seconds.
• Hip flexor kneeling stretch, 30 seconds each side.
• Cat-cow spine flow, eight slow reps.

However, we understand that paying for treatment upfront and then waiting for your Insurance Provider to reimburse you can sometimes make things difficult. Therefore, we are pleased to offer a Direct Billing Program to those with Blue Cross, Canada Life, Canada Life PSCHP, Claim Secure, Chambers of Commerce Group, Coughlin & Associates, Equitable Life, Johnston Group Inc., Johnson Inc Alberta Blue Cross, Manulife and Maximum Benefits, GMS49 & GMS50, Industrial Alliance, People Corporation, Simply Benifets, Rwam and many more.

How Can I Use the Direct Billing Program?

To serve you best and ensure that we have all the information needed to submit to your insurance and track it on your behalf, please fill out our application form. Create your profile 3-6 business days before your treatment appointment. Please get in touch with our office to find out how you can apply today!

How Does the Direct Billing Program Work?

Once you have completed our application form and been approved, you will have an ongoing profile with our front office administration. You must pay any deductibles and/or percentages not covered by your Insurance Provider. For example, suppose your Insurance Provider covers 80% of your Massage Therapy treatment. In that case, you must pay 20% upfront following your treatment.

Whether trauma-induced (e.g., whiplash from a motor vehicle accident, a collision or fall during sports, or a slip-and-fall) or due to stress and overuse, TMJ massage therapy can be quite beneficial to restoring proper and pain-free jaw function.

Your TMJ massage therapist will interview and assess you before creating a treatment plan specific to your needs. Enjoying the Rest of Summer 🌻🌞

There are many benefits of enjoying nature, and while summer is in full swing, it's best to take advantage of them as soon as you can and as often as you can! Being in nature has proven to have numerous cognitive benefits, including increased creativity and improved problem-solving techniques. Here are a few tips for continuing to enjoy summer!

Hiking is one of the best activities and can be done at various levels. You do not have to go out in the mountains, but even a nice walk in a local park is a great start. You can be more adventurous by looking up trails in your area or even planning a trip around hiking.

Speaking of trips, you can also plan a getaway. Perhaps a beach holiday or visiting a friend in another city can be helpful, as changing your environment can do wonders for your psyche. Research some interesting spots and try to find a friend or family member to tag along.

RELAX with these Recovery Tips 💆‍♂️🚶‍♀️

Recovery is crucial for everyone in their wellness journey. Not only will it help you improve performance, but it will also help prevent injuries to make sure you can continue progressing towards your goals. Recovery isn't just about resting; it can also be a very engaging part of your routine.

Low-intensity activities, such as walking or relaxing hikes, help keep the blood flowing while being low impact on your muscles. You do not always have to go 100% all the time. It will benefit you to stop and smell the roses every once in a while! Consider checking out a public park you haven't been to before, or check out that new coffee shop in your neighbourhood by walking there.

Stretching isn't only for pre- or post-workouts. On a recovery day, it's a great idea to continue stretching and improving your flexibility and mobility. If you've ever had a session with us, we provide you with specific exercises you can do at home based on your needs.

💪 Keeping Things Going When Things Are Going Well 🤗

It sometimes feels easy when things are going well in our wellness journeys, and it seems like it will never end. However, sometimes that creates a situation where you start "coasting" when it would be the perfect time to reflect on your progress to help continue to push you forward.

When things are going well, it's a great time to review how far you have come. Reflecting on your achievements can prove to yourself that you are on the right path, and you should keep it up. You might even see that you can expand on your goals and continue giving yourself more to improve on.

It might also be a good time to introduce some variety. The last thing you want is to get bored with your workouts. Although things are going well now, introducing some variety can help you stay interested. Plan a new activity or invite a friend to try something new with you.

Celebrating your wins and keeping yourself interested is just as vital when things are going well as when they are difficult. You hear all the time it's "about the journey and not the destination," and part of making sure you are enjoying the journey is being mindful while you are on that journey!
